I asked staff members to choose a student to share a photograph. This was near the end of my time at Rainey. From the start, I was impressed with how stern and demanding the staff was of the kids. When it came to this, the kids showed that what impresses a kid is not how nice you are. It is your high expectations. In every case I would ask if it was OK for the staff member to touch the kid.
